Thounaojam Chaoba Singh
Thounaojam Chaoba Singh is former Indian Union minister and Bharatiya Janta Party state president from Manipur. From 1990 to 1997, he was part of the All India Congress Committee (Indira). In 1994, he became deputy chief minister of Manipur. He was elected to the 11th Lok Sabha in 1996. In 1997, he became Congress Party state president. He was re-elected to the 12th Lok Sabha in 1998 and 13th Lok Sabha in 1999. In 1999, he became the Union Minister of State, Culture, Youth Affairs and Sports.〔
